Happy birthday to me

How did this happen? I don't mean that I dread turning thirty like some people do. Sometimes I'm just surprised at how the years have gone by... and how they're picking up speed on the back end. I have *heard* anyway from countless others that your thirties are the best decade of life, and I think I'll turn the page with that lens on the world. After all, I did squander away the youth and vitality my twenties with 8 years of George Bush in office, and with a new president around the corner, how can my thirties not be looking up? Well, that and being married and starting a family, and the company of many good, loyal and dedicated friends, and being financially stable and done with college (well, round one anyway) finally, and lacking the insecurity and angst about life in general in my twenties. It does seem like my thirties are going to be wonderful :)

Anybody who's already "crossed over" have inherent wisdom on your thirties?
